Three ways to sponsor the reporting

Every placement below runs at the price shown, with no undisclosed add-on fees. The shape of each format — its length, its run and what you receive afterward — is fixed; the only thing that changes from one sponsor to the next is the story or business at the centre of it.

  2. Editorial fit check

We confirm the story or subject sits comfortably beside our reporting and agree on the sponsored framing.

  3. Production

Copy is drafted or the segment is recorded, and you see it before it runs.

Quick answers

Who reads Quillwick?

Residents and business owners across Bedford and the Halifax Regional Municipality who follow the Sunday newsletter or the weekly podcast.

Is a placement marked as sponsored?

Yes — every note and every segment is introduced as sponsored, in keeping with our editorial practice.

Do I need production experience?

No. Copywriting support comes with the newsletter note, and the podcast segment includes a pre-interview and editing.

Can I see it before it runs?

Yes — approval before release is part of the podcast segment and the feature partnership.

Booking & timing

Lead times worth knowing

The newsletter note needs copy finalised by the Wednesday before its first Sunday run. Podcast segments are recorded roughly ten days ahead of release to leave room for a pre-interview and editing. Feature partnerships begin with a planning meeting in the first week and run across the six weeks that follow. None of this is rigid — write in and we will confirm dates against the current editorial calendar.

A few questions we hear often

What does the Sunday newsletter note actually include?

A 60-word note placed between features, written in our reflective voice, running in two consecutive Sunday editions with copywriting support and a summary of the open rate afterward.

How is a podcast sponsorship different from an ad read?

It is a genuine three-minute conversation between our host and someone from your organisation, clearly labelled as sponsored rather than a scripted spot.

Who is the feature series partnership meant for?

Institutions and established local brands comfortable sitting in an editorial context across a four-part series and its companion episodes.

What Quillwick doesn't do

We do not write news coverage to order, we do not promise a sales result from a placement, and we do not run unlabelled sponsor content. A placement sits beside our editorial work; it never replaces or influences it.
