Description of service
Quillwick publishes a news website with a weekly podcast and sells three advertising placements described on our services page: the Sunday Marginalia Note, the In Conversation Podcast Segment, and the Feature Series Partnership.
Eligibility & obligations
You must provide accurate information when booking a placement and have the authority to approve sponsor content on behalf of your organisation. You agree to supply any material we reasonably need to produce the placement by the deadlines we agree together.
Bookings & payment
Placements are booked and invoiced in Canadian dollars at the prices shown on our services page. Payment terms are confirmed at booking. See the Payment & Refund Policy and Returns Policy below for how changes to a booking are handled.
Intellectual property
All site content, the Quillwick name and logo, and our published articles and episodes remain the property of Be Responsive Media Inc. unless otherwise agreed in writing for a specific placement.
Acceptable use
You may not use the site to submit unlawful, defamatory or misleading content, or attempt to interfere with its normal operation.
Disclaimer
General information. Content on this site is provided by Be Responsive Media Inc. for general informational purposes about Quillwick's reporting and advertising placements.
Not professional advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a qualified advertising, legal or financial professional appropriate to your own circumstances.
Accuracy & availability. We take reasonable care to keep information current, but placements, prices and availability may change, and final scope is confirmed at booking.
Results. We describe our reach and reporting factually. We do not promise any commercial outcome, sale or audience response from a placement.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, Be Responsive Media Inc.'s liability arising from your use of the site or a booked placement is capped at the amount paid for that placement.
Payment & Refund Policy
Scope. This policy covers payments made for the three advertising placements described on our services page.
Eligibility. A refund may be requested if a booked placement has not yet entered production (copy drafted, interview recorded, or partner page begun).
How to request. Write to [email protected] or call +1 902-832-6178, stating the placement and booking date.
Processing. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Non-refundable cases. Once production has begun — copy drafted and shared for approval, an interview recorded, or a feature instalment written — the placement fee is no longer refundable, though rescheduling may be possible.
Returns Policy
How to cancel. Contact us by email or phone within our working days (Monday – Friday, 09:30–18:00) stating the placement you wish to cancel.
Returns windows. Returnss made before production begins receive a full refund; cancellations after production has begun follow the non-refundable terms above.
Rescheduling. Where possible, we offer to reschedule a placement to a later edition or episode instead of cancelling outright.
Returnss by Quillwick. If we are unable to deliver a booked placement — due to production capacity or unforeseen circumstances — we offer a full refund or a rebooking at no extra cost.
Third-party links
Our site and newsletter may link to third-party sites, including sponsor websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we do not operate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
