Advertising Terms

These campaign terms apply to any of the three advertising placements described on our services page and sit alongside our general Terms of Use.
Booking
A placement is confirmed once we have agreed the format, run date and price in writing, whether by email or through our enquiry form. Availability follows our current editorial calendar, and we will tell you plainly if a requested date cannot be met.
Creative deadlines
The Sunday Marginalia Note needs final copy by the Wednesday before its first Sunday run. The In Conversation Podcast Segment is recorded roughly ten days ahead of release to allow for editing. The Feature Series Partnership begins with a planning meeting in the first week of its six-week span. Missing an agreed deadline may require rescheduling to the next available slot.
Approval
You review and approve sponsor copy or the edited podcast segment before it publishes. We will make reasonable revisions within the scope of the booked format, but placements are not held open indefinitely for repeated redrafts — see Make-goods below if approval cannot be reached before the scheduled run.
Make-goods
If we are unable to deliver a placement as booked — through a production delay on our side or a genuine scheduling conflict — we offer either a make-good placement in a comparable upcoming edition or episode, or a refund for the affected placement, at your choice.
Editorial independence
Sponsored placements are clearly labelled as such and are kept separate from our news judgement. Booking a placement does not grant influence over unrelated editorial content, and Quillwick's reporting is not written, reviewed or approved by advertisers.

Governing law
These advertising terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
