Payment & refund policy

This page sets out, in full, how cancellations and refunds are handled for the three advertising placements sold through Quillwick. It expands on the summary in our Terms of Use and the Advertising Terms.
Scope
This policy covers payments made for the Sunday Marginalia Note, the In Conversation Podcast Segment and the Feature Series Partnership.
Returns windows
You may cancel a booked placement free of charge at any point before production begins — that is, before copy is drafted for your review, before an interview is recorded, or before the first written instalment of a feature series is started. Once production has begun, the placement fee is treated as earned and is not refundable, though we will always try to offer a reasonable alternative first.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Write to [email protected] or call +1 902-832-6178 during our working hours (Monday – Friday, 09:30–18:00, Atlantic Time), naming the placement and the date it was booked.
Processing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. No partial refunds are issued once a placement has run in full.
Non-refundable cases
Fees are not refundable once: a newsletter note has been finalised and scheduled for its first Sunday run; a podcast pre-interview has taken place; or a feature series planning meeting has occurred and drafting has begun. In each of these cases we will discuss rescheduling as an alternative.
Rescheduling
Where a cancellation falls after production has started, we offer to move the placement to a later available edition or episode at no additional cost, as an alternative to a non-refundable cancellation.
Returnss by Quillwick
If we are unable to deliver a booked placement as scheduled, because of production capacity or unforeseen circumstances on our side, we offer a full refund or a rebooking at your choice, at no extra cost.

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
